On January 27, 2026, Luke Alan Plowman, peacefully passed away at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor after he bravely fought numerous medical issues in the hopes of pursuing a new liver. He soared like an eagle and flew alongside of the Lord's angels to his forever home in Heaven.
Luke, age 42 was born to Kathie Plowman and the late Terry Plowman on October 10, 1983. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 2002.
Luke was a fun loving guy with many friends. He liked to cook and would entertain friends and family with what he called "Friends-giving". He also worked as a cook for the last seven years at the Knob Hill Tavern.
In the spring and summer you would find Luke disc golfing or kayaking with friends, fishing with his kids and at backyard barbecues around the fire pit at home. He was fond of camping, especially along Lake Michigan. He spent much time learning about tropical fish and successfully set up a large salt water fish talk in his home. Growing up, Luke lived in Port Orange, Florida soaking up the warm sunny weather and waves in the Atlantic Ocean. He began his high school years at Ovid-Elsie when he and his mother moved home to Michigan.
Luke was preceded in death by his father Terry Lynn Plowman, his sister Lindsay Plowman, and grandparents: Phil and Jean West and Floyd and Doris Kibby.
Those left behind to miss and cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather Kathie and Dave Dunham, his loving life partner Erica Kelley, two children: Logan age 13, Alli Mae age 4 and step-daughter Charlie age 8. In addition, Luke will be missed by Logan's mother Heidi Parks and family, his three brothers Alex and Jason Plowman and Domenic Sinicropi along with aunts and uncles and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at the Knob Hill Tavern, 8430 S. US Hwy 27 in DeWitt at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
