Lori Renae Haruska, age 54, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, with her family by her side.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel and also on Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
Lori was born in Carson City, Michigan on November 11, 1969, the daughter of John E. and Barbara R. (Stehlik) Haruska. She graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1987.
Lori worked for the Department of Health and Human Services as an accountant tech for 17 years. She loved music and attending concerts with her family. Prince was her favorite artist and obsession. Lori loved cooking and sharing her wonderful meals with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, morel mushroom hunting, and listening to the sounds of the lake. She adored her special cats Sassy & Smokey and her grandpups Fawn & Olive. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Maverick John. Lori will be remembered for her huge heart and her gift to become friends with anyone she met.
She is survived by her sons: Keaton Madar of St. Johns, MI; Jake and Brittanie Madar of Breckenridge, MI; grandson Maverick John Madar; mother Barbara Haruska of Ashley, MI; sisters: Shelly and John Mills of Bath, MI; Theresa Haruska of Montrose, MI; nieces & nephews: Keeley and Carrie Mills, Dustin and Eahgi Mills, and Jack and Laura Mills; great- nephew Ellis Mills and great-niece Theo Rose Mills. She was preceded in death by her father John Haruska.

The mission of the foundation is to create more "Sunny Days" for the families with more time spent making precious memories and less time spent dealing with worries and stress.)
