Lois Jane Emery

     Lois Jane Emery, age 88, of Ashley, MI, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Burial will take place at Collier Cemetery, Washington Twp, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Lois was born in Ashley, Michigan on August 14, 1937, the daughter of Clare and Marian (Rogers) Camburn. She graduated from Ashley High School. Lois married Norman Beach Emery, on April 20, 1957, in Ashley, Michigan. They were blessed with fifty-four years of marriage prior to his passing on May 24, 2011.
     She loved crocheting and knitting and made many afghans for family and friends. Lois enjoyed baking and will be remembered for her cookies, cakes, pies and candies. In younger years, she enjoyed tending her flower gardens, watching wildlife outside her window and crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved cats.
     She is survived by her children: David and Christine Emery, of Ashley, MI, Jean and Wayne Wadsworth of Bannister, MI, Mary Emery of Ashley, MI, Daniel Emery of Maple Rapids, MI, and Robert Emery of Ashley, MI. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Derrick Emery, Elizabeth Emery, Michael Emery, and great-granddaughter Claira Emery. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Marilyn Whitford, Clare Camburn, and Margaret Saylor.
