Lewis Walter "Lewie" Thompson

     Lewis Walter "Lewie" Thompson, age 70, of Eureka, MI, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid.
     Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held at Pilgrim Global United Methodist Church, 2965 West Parks Road, St. Johns, MI 48879, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will be held the hour prior at the church, and a dessert reception will follow in the Fireside Lounge at the church. Flowers may be sent to the church the morning of June 25, 2025.
     Lewie was born in St. Johns, MI on January 28, 1955, the son of Walter Arthur and Marlene Ann (Jastram) Thompson. Lewie's proudest moments were becoming a father, watching his children graduate from high school, walk his daughter down the aisle, and being here to enjoy his grandsons. Lewie treasured time spend with his family, especially his daughter and son. He enjoyed tinkering with automobiles and spent many years working in auto body repair. He was a friend to many and will be remembered for his unique laugh.
     He is survived by his mother Marlene Thompson; his daughter Michelle and Keith Cornell; his son Michael Thompson; grandsons: Keith F. and Matthew Cornell; his brother Phillip Thompson; and his sister Laura Douglass. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Thompson, his brother Fred Thompson, his sister Marie Rudy, grandparents: Lewis & Esther Jastram and Albert & Marian Thompson.
