Levi T. Gager

     Levi T. Gager, age 95, of Alma, MI, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Country Blessings Retirement Living, St. Louis, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Alma, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 20, 2026, with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Twp., MI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
     Levi was born in Alma, Michigan on January 6, 1931, the son of Cornelius Albert and Anna (Shaffer) Gager. He married Bonnie Kay Sain and they were blessed with 49 years of marriage prior to her passing on August 16, 2003.
     Levi was a lifelong farmer in Gratiot County. Throughout his life he was employed with 3 different trailer manufacturing companies: New Moon, Redmond and Whitman Industries. Levi was a jack of all trades and he built kitchen and bathroom cabinets for all his brothers and sisters. He had an acre garden every year and he loved to share his produce with friends and family. Levi enjoyed camping at Whiskey Creek with his family for 30 years.
     He is survived by children: Collene and Richard Michael of Midland, MI; Thomas Gager of Sumner, MI; Deborah and Randy Rummer of Elwell, MI; Alan and Lisa Gager of Wellston, MI; and Kim and Lori Gager of Alma, MI; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and sisters-in-law Barb Lynch and Charlene Shroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, son Keith (Leta) Gager, and siblings: John (Mary) Gager, Bernard (Ruth) Gager, Kenneth (Geraldine) Gager, Arlo (Norma) Gager, Natalie (Harry) Stoner, and Naomi (Otto) Parcher.
