Larry Victor Ladiski

    Larry Victor Ladiski, age 73, of Elsie, MI, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, Lansing, Michigan. 

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. i"cefuneral home, May 10, 2023, gan 48831an, Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, Michigan, on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A Rosary will be prayed on Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

   Larry was born in St. Johns, Michigan on October 22, 1949, the son Frank Stephen and Jennie Marie (Horak) Ladiski.  He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 1967. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971.  On October 16, 1971, he married Patricia Jane Skriba at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, Michigan, and she survives him. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2017 after twenty years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church.

     Larry enjoyed his grandchildren and spending time with them. He liked gardening which involved planting and harvesting, but no weeding. He was a story teller, telling jokes, and pulling pranks. Playing cards was also a favorite pastime, with his parents, brothers, and his children. 

     He is survived by  his wife Pat  Ladiski, of Elsie, MI; two sons: Tim and Nicole Ladiski of Elsie, MI; and Dan and Jill Ladiski of Commerce Township, MI; six grandchildren: Megan, Colten, Emily, Madeline, Micah, and Ben; his sister Joanne and Krys Gromek; two brothers, Bob Ladiski and Frank and Connie Ladiski. He is also survived by his furry companion Elliott.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: James, Edward, and Joseph, and one sister, Carleta.
