Lainey June Crook

     Lainey June "June Bug" Crook, age 2 months old, of Alma, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.
     A Visitation for Lainey will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1-5 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Alma Chapel, Alma, MI.
     Lainey entered our world 5 weeks early in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 5, 2025, the daughter of Logan Thomas Crook and Kami Lynn Richards. Her short time here on earth brought much light and life to those around her, through her squeaks, smiles, "middle fingers", and love.
     She is survived by her loving parents Kami Richards and Logan Crook, Papa and Nana Joe and Leann Richards, grandparents Jim and Loretta Wood, great-grandpa Fred Hunt, great-grandma Linda Richards, great-great grandma Lola Hunt, uncle and aunt Kyle and Gina Richards, uncle and aunt Kasey and Sami Richards, aunt Meshia Crook, uncle Robert Crook, and uncle Jordan Crook. She is also survived by many great aunts, great uncles and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa Robert Crook Sr., great-grandpa Jim Richards, great-grandma Sharon Hunt, and great-grandma Joni McNinch.
