Kevan Earl Stahl, age 65, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at Trinity Health Grand Rapids.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M at the Coe Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI. A Funeral Service will follow at the church at 1:00 P.M. on Friday with Dr. Keith Wise officiating. A private family burial will take place at Coe Township Cemetery, Coe Township, MI.
Kevan was born in Alma, Michigan on January 31, 1961, the son of VanDoren and Barbara (Brady) Brook. Kevan married his love, Karen on December 10, 1985.
Papa was an independent thinker. An entrepreneur who just kept on keeping on. Stubborn, determined, faithful, family focused, and a giving man. He was a farm boy at heart. Was a true momma’s boy and great baby brother. Loved his trials of gardening, so enjoyed the birds chirping in the mornings, took pride in helping others, proud of his kids and grands, would do anything for his family and most anything for his girl.
The King of go back, enjoyed being right, and truly kinda knew where most everything was. A list maker, not a shopper, had the best legs, read his bible and devotionals early mornings.
He enjoyed a beer, was our grill master, master packer and loved his Michigan teams - Go Blue and our Detroit Lions and Tigers. His spirit was strong; gave great hugs and smooches…. magic carpet rides, baseball, played dress up, took us on adventures - he knew the value and importance of time together. Loved Fox news…monitored the weather. Took a dip most Memorial Days in Lake Michigan… yup, loved that cold water.
He was so much to us - Papa bear, Mister, Babe, Dad Kev, Ese…married to his girl for over 40 years. We were all so lucky to share his life.
Papa would say…. just love one another, love our country, and be faithful in your spirit. Be kind give to others. Celebrate today. Live today. And just keep on caring for your family.
Kevan is survived by his loving family, Karen, Gran Gran, Rachael and D, and their princesses Stella and Viviann, Jacob and his boys, Ms. Arianna and Jameson, fur babies Jaxson, Annie Cat, and Tabby. He is also survived by his older sisters: Sandi (William), Kay (Phil), Bonnie (Ted), brother Brian (Shelley) and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents VanDoren and Barbara Stahl.
