Kent William Moore

     Kent William Moore, age 60, of Ashley, MI, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
     Kent was born in Carson City, MI on October 9, 1964, the son of Richard W. and Wilma E. (Foster) Moore. He was a graduate of Fulton High School with the Class of 1984. Kent married Jacquelyn Thomas on June 11, 2004, at their home in Ashley, Jacci passed away on July 27, 2018.
     He loved to ride motorcycles and was a Harley Davidson fanatic. Kent drove truck for Martin Brower in St. Johns but most of his life he worked as a tree trimmer, working for Local IBEW 17 in Southfield, MI. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart; he had the family he always wanted. Kent's dog Pepper was very important to him. He will be missed by his family and many friends he made over the years.
     Kent is survived by his mother Wilma Moore of Maple Rapids, MI; his brother Leon and Cynthia Moore, of Connecticut; nephews: Landon Moore of Connecticut and Logan Moore of Connecticut; children: RaeLene and Eric Barrett of St. Johns, MI, Nicholas Nader of Detroit, MI; and Courtney and Benjamin Avey of Ashley, MI; grandchildren: Emma, Hunter, Cheyenne, Dakota, William, Arya, Kaya, and Kloey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacci, his father Richard, grandparents Leon and Crystal Moore, and William and Odean Foster.
