Kenneth Lee King, Sr.

      Kenneth Lee "Ken" King, Sr., age 68, of Sumner, MI, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at his home. 

      Funeral Services will be held at Community Baptist Church - Alma, MI at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 16, 2024, with Pastor Randy Brandon officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will take place at New Haven Township Cemetery, New Haven Twp, MI, at a later date. 

     Ken was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 6, 1955, the son of Arnold Vernon King and Eva Ruth (Manley) King.  Ken married Edith J. Stombaugh on June 11, 1977, at the United Baptist Church in Garden City, MI.

      Ken was a firefighter in Wixom from 1976 until 1994. He then went on to drive truck for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Alma where he enjoyed spending time with his church family. He was a member of the Conservation Club in Stanton, MI.   

     He is survived by his wife Edith King; his sons: Kenneth and Julie King, Michael and Autumn King; grandchildren: Haley and Blake King, Brayleigh A. King, Karlee E. King, Wesley N. King, Lane Edgar, Ian King, and Irelyn King; and great-grandson Ely.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Christine Lynn King, and one brother Robert King.
