Kay L. Wold, age 80. of Ithaca, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Kay was born in rural Alma on October 20, 1937, the daughter of Francis R. and Rowena (Burgess) Kiser. She graduated for Ithaca High School in 1956 and married Harley Wold on April 27, 1961. She worked in the office at Alma Products for 35 years.
Kay loved nature and taking long walks outdoors. She enjoyed baking, especially her fruit pies (Cherry, Rhubarb, and Blackerry), which people loved. She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving in the Community Service Center. Spending time with her family was a priority in her life.
Kay is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harley; her daughter-in-law, Linda MacLaren of Ithaca; her son, David (Christine) Wold of Holland, MI; her grandchildren, Nathan (Melissa) and Nicholas (Dana) MacLaren and Zachary and Tyler Wold; her great grandchildren, Evan, Charlee, Alma Macy, Garret, Ethan, and Helen; her brothers and sisters, Larry Kiser of Alma, Bill (Marilyn) Kiser of Ithaca, Judy Walker of Ithaca, Linda Johnson of Ithaca, and Annette (Mike) Rayburn of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Garth MacLaren; brother Lynn Kiser, and her parents, Francis and Rowena Kiser.
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ithaca, with Pastor E. J. Wolf officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the Community Service Center. Interment will be at a later date in Ithaca Cemetery.
