Kay Elizabeth Peasley

     Kay Elizabeth Peasley, age 91, of Vestaburg, Michigan, went home to be with Our Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma, Michigan.
       Memorial services will be held at a later date.
       Kay was born on May 2, 1934, the daughter of George and Dessa (Andrews) Heinrich. She graduated from Vestaburg High School and went on to graduate from Central Michigan University with a teaching degree.
      Kay touched countless lives through both her teaching and volunteer work. She taught school, first in the Vestaburg and then in the Montabella school system until her retirement. Kay volunteered at the Community Baby Pantry and the Gratiot Community Hospital, as well as other organizations in the community. She was a member of Vestaburg Church of Christ in Vestaburg, Michigan. Kay’s interests included playing euchre and watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. She was a voracious reader. A large notebook was found where she recorded the books she read and rated them.
      She is survived by 3 children: Kurt and Kathy Peasley, Ryan Peasley and Lisa Linsley. She is also survived by 7 grandsons and their spouses, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 nephew, Todd Olson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Janice Olson, and her nephew, Kevin Olson.
