Kathleen Marie "Kathy" (DeWitt) Eyer

     Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Eyer, age 75, of Ashley, MI, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Alma with her family by her side.

     Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 10, 2023, with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at noon at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Twp., MI at a later date.

     Kathleen was born in Alma, Michigan on September 25, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Geneva (Place) DeWitt. She graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1966.  On July 3, 1966, Kathleen married Gary D. Eyer at the East Superior Christian Church, Alma, MI. They were blessed with fifty-six years of marriage.

     Kathy enjoyed bird watching, puzzles, bingo, and drawing, she found comfort in God, and devoted her life to her family. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandson and great grandchildren.

     She is survived by her husband Gary, and 3 children: Angie (Jeff) Schollaert of Ithaca, MI; Kimberly (Mike) Tissue of Middleton, MI; and Matthew (Charity Cody) Eyer of Ithaca, MI; grandson Ryan (Mariah) Schollaert; three great-grandchildren: Ollivia, Camden, and Emma Jean Schollaert; brother Bob DeWitt, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Frederick (Phyllis) DeWitt, and sister-in-law Mary DeWitt.
