Katherine "Boots" Schall, age 83, of Breckenridge, MI passed away Monday, September 14th, 2009 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw.
Funeral Services will be held at Breckenridge United Methodist Church on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dale Golden will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 17, 2009 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St.Louis.
Katherine was born in Porter Twp, Michigan on June 10, 1926, the daughter of John and Hazel (Dosson) McCallum. She graduated from Breckenridge High School. She was married to Robert Schall on December, 1944. He passed away in 2006. Katherine was a lifelong resident of Breckenridge. She was a homemaker, and had worked as the church secretary at the Breckenridge United Methodist Church. Her family was the most important thing to her, and her hobbies included reading, traveling, quilting and cooking. She was a member of Breckenridge United Methodist Church
She is survived by her 3 Sons Terry and Linda Schall of Breckenridge, MI, David and Karmen Schall of Breckenridge, MI, Michael and Sharon Schall of Breckenridge, MI; 7 Grandchildren Susan and Jeffrey Ostrander of Breckenridge, MI, Terry and Stephanie Schall, Jr. of Breckenridge, MI, Aaron and Trina Schall of Sumner, MI, Danielle and Nerio Rodriguez of Greenville, MI, Nicki and Jeremy Aldrich of Comstock Park, MI, Matthew and Kimberly Schall of Alma, MI, Patrick and Kari Schall of Wheeler, MI; 16 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters "Nan" Behling of Leesburg, FL, Phyllis Saxton of Alma, MI; 4 sisters-in-law Jeane Ostrander, Carol and Bill Hayes, Harriet McCallum, Dorothy McCallum; brother-in-law Norval Korthase. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brothers JD, William, and Thomas, sister Alma, granddaughter Michelle, in-laws Lloyd & Doris Briggs, Gene Ostrander, Betty McCallum
