Karen Lee Vanderlin

     Karen Lee Vanderlin, age 83, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, Lansing, MI after a long illness.
     A memorial will be held at later date.
    Karen was born in Hastings, MI on September 4, 1942, the daughter of Walter and Verdie (Crawley) Sinclair. She was a graduate of Hastings High School. Karen married Peter Vanderlin on March 1, 1986, in St. Johns, MI. Karen retired from Sundance in St. Johns as a Parts Manager. She enjoyed doing crafts and was very talented in all different types of crafting. Karen and Peter enjoyed camping together.
     She is survived by her husband Peter Vanderlin of St. Johns, MI; her daughter Tracey Campbell-Cushing of Minnesota; step-sons: Peter Vanderlin of Maple Rapids, MI; Timothy Vanderlin of Nevada; John and Rachel Vanderlin of Lansing, MI; Edward Waltz of Michigan; and Michael Waltz of Maple Rapids, MI; grandchildren: Samantha (Bill) Burchill, Danielle (Jonathon) Calderoni, Gabryelle Cushing, Peter Vanderlin, and Katelynn Vanderlin; great-grandchildren: Jamenson, Rosalie, and Eloise Burchill; sisters: Judy Heid of Orangeville, MI and Patricia Crans of Hastings, MI. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters: Sally and Jerry.
