June Price

June Joyce Price, age 87, of St. Johns, MI, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2020, at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, St. Johns, MI, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel and on Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.

June was born in Merrill, WI on June 26, 1932, the daughter of Gustave and Hattie (Reinke) Ney. She attended school in Merrill, WI. On March 29, 1952, June married Daniel R. Price at St. Johns Lutheran Church, St. Johns, MI. They recently celebrated 68 years of marriage.

June was a people person and was always ready for a good conversation with friends. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ and going to dances with her sisters. June loved playing games of all sorts with family and friends! Most of all, June loved her family and looked forward to attending the grandsons' ball games.

June was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church and volunteered with the funeral dinners and meals for Seniors through the church. She was involved in Ladies' Bible Study and Vacation Bible School.

June is survived by her husband Daniel Price, 5 children: Timothy (Sue) Price, Cheryle (Robert) Mitchell, Michael (Mary) Price, Jeffery Price, and Lynette (Tony) Weaver; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a sister Vivian (Gary) Albright.  June was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Carolyn, one brother Sheldon Ney, and 5 sisters: Elsie (Jim) Powers, Erna Husted, Marion (Ruben) Kautzer, Beulah (Robert) Erickson, and Natalie (William) Borchardt.
