Judy Ann Finkbeiner, age 70, of Portland, MI passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Lansing, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Michael Williams officiating.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, Michigan.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Goerge Chapel, Fowler, Michigan.  Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Judy was born in St. Johns, Michigan on July 1, 1945, the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Schomisch) Thelen.  Judy married Dave Finkbeiner on May 28, 1985.

Judy loved her family and spending time with them.  She enjoyed fishing, cross word puzzles, playing cards.  She made blankets for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Judy loved music and singing. Judy also enjoyed watching Judge Judy, Say Yes to the Dress and playing Words With Friends on Facebook.

She is survived by her husband Dave Finkbeiner of Portland, MI, children; Joyce and Duane Cole of Westphalia, MI, Jean Ann Zuwala and Jimmy Cornwall of Grand Ledge, MI, Jackie Kipp of Fowler, MI, James and Amy Parsons Jr. of Fowler, MI, grandchildren; Jason and Dawn Gage, Jenn and Matt Barker, Jordan Gage, Nicole and Tony Merrifield, Amber Becker, Jeffrey Kipp and Sydney Ross, Jameson and Stefanie Kipp, Justine Kipp, Megan  Parsons and Josh Parsons, 12 great grandchildren, brothers; Richard and Pat Thelen, Gary and Susan Thelen, Dale and Dottie Thelen and sister Sandy and Fritz Steed.  She is also survived by brother and sister in law Everett and Debra Finkbeiner and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey Parsons, great granddaughter Olivia Ann Merrifield, parents in law Everett and Margaret Finkbeiner, and brother in law Gerald Finkbeiner.
