Joyce Kay (Hadley) Denman

     Joyce Kay Denman, age 77, of Alma, MI, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at home with her granddaughters at her side.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

     Joyce was born in Coleman, MI on July 14, 1945, the daughter of John Wesley and Betty Jean (Welch) Hadley.  She graduated from Alma High School.

     Joyce loved her family.  She took pride in raising her grandchildren. Joyce liked to play Bingo and the Lottery.  She faithfully watched Monday and Friday night wrestling, and enjoyed country music.  Joyce was wild and spunky at heart.  She enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor.

     Joyce is survived by two daughters: Leaha (Carl) Wood of Midland, MI; and Lonna Denman of Midland, MI; eight grandchildren: Rachelle, Lacey, Brittany, Edward, Lisa, Kyle, Shandel, and Shelby; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three siblings: Leila (Dave) Stearns, Gayla (Roy) Moore, and Roger (Barb) Hadley; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son Shannon Denman, siblings: Martha Hale, and Connie Hadley.
