Joyce Mae Carpenter

     Joyce Mae Carpenter, age 89, of Alma, Michigan, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center - Gratiot, Alma, MI.
     Per Joyce's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI at a later date.
     Joyce was born in Hamilton Township, MI on March 19, 1936, the daughter of Adolphas Alvin and Lucile Mae (Prevost) Peet. She resided in Ithaca for the majority of her life. Joyce liked her independence, and quilting. She made many friends at Tartan Terrace Apartments during the last 10 years. They enjoyed her love of cooking and baking.
     She is survived by four children: Darlene (Mark) Kraus of Ithaca, MI; Dan (Julie) Evitts of Ithaca, MI; Doug Kimmel of Ithaca, MI; and Christina Valleau of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law Ronda Peet; her grandchildren: Brittany, Emily, Matt, Olivia, Sara, Jameson, and John; several great- grandchildren; her sister Joan Abell; her sister-in-law Sharon Peet; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons: Bob Peet and David Evitts, her granddaughter Heather Wilbur, her brothers: Richard (Marie) Peet, Roger Peet, and Adolphas Peet, Jr.
