John Mimranek

John Peter Mimranek, age 87, of Perry, MI, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Oliver Woods Retirement Village, Owosso, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Middlebury Township Cemetery Ovid, MI.

John married Sandra Hester on February 26, 1953, in Flint, MI. They celebrated 67 years of marriage together.

He resided most of his life in Shiawassee County; living and farming with his grandfather, James Mimranek.

Mr. Mimranek farmed and retired from General Motors, Oldsmobile Division Lansing in 1982.  He was a pilot, who enjoyed flying, RV traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Sandra, two daughters: Ms. Jacqueline Mimranek of Hooksett, NH, Jane Grulke and Tom Patterson of Perry, MI, grandsons: Matthew Grulke of Milwaukee, WI; Michael (Carrie) Grulke of Onsted, MI; Joseph (Jenna) Grulke of Eaton Rapids, MI; and great grandchildren: Ethan, Addison, Emma, Kaden, Luke and Jayla. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

The family would like to thank the nurses of Grace Hospice and the staff of Oliver Woods for their amazing care and compassion.
