Joe E. Hutchings

     Joe E. Hutchings, age 73, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, MI.

     In keeping with Joe's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

     Joe was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 6, 1950, the son of Ellis and Katherine Hutchings. He graduated from Laingsburg High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  On October 6, 1974, Joe married Teresa Jean Caruss in Lansing, MI. They have been married forty-nine years.

     Joe enjoyed camping and fishing. He worked for Hausman Steel for 30 years. In retirement, he worked for Kirchhoff Auto in Lansing. Joe loved his family and spending time with them.

     He is survived by his wife Teresa, daughter Trisha Hutchings, six siblings, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons: Joey Hutchings and Brian Hutchings; and two siblings.
