Jody Aikens

Jody Lynn Aikens, age 30 of St. Louis, Michigan passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Spectrum Healthcare in Grand Rapids, due to complications from Cystic Fibroses. In the past she has worked at Patient Equipment Locker, Commercial Bank, and St. Louis IGA.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Pastor Lee Rhodes will officiate with burial at Jasper Township Cemetery, Jasper Township, Michigan. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
Jody was born in Alma, Michigan on August 24, 1973, the daughter of David G. & Carol A. (Austin) Aldrich. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1992. On October 22, 1994 she married Charles "Chuck" Aikens in Wheeler, Michigan. She loved being a mom and spending time with her family. She enjoyed scrap booking for her girls, and spending time at Houghton Lake. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan. Her husband has been employed with Alma Products since 1995.
Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" Aikens of St. Louis, MI, 2 daughters, Katelynn & Brooklyn both at home, parents, David "Chip" & Carol Aldrich of St. Louis, MI, brother, Jon & Jennifer Aldrich of St. Louis, MI, parents in law, Charles & Suzanne Aikens of Birch Run, MI, sister in law, Kimberly & Jason Yatsevich of Birch Run, MI, 4 nephews, Jake, Chance, Gage & Austin, grandparents, Jack & Shirley Austin of St. Louis, MI, 2 grandmothers in law, Sylvia Aikens of Turner, MI, and Florence Tift of Flushing, MI, also many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Lyle & Clariece Aldrich from Wheeler, Michigan.
Memorials may be made to the Family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
