Jared Michael Baublitz, age 28 of Mt. Pleasant, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Ryan Tice officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 P.M., and again, on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jared was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on December 1, 1997, the son of Bradley Edward Baublitz and Jennifer J. (Jacobs) Wright. He was a graduate of Ithaca High School with the Class of 2016.
Jared was born and raised in Michigan, but decided he needed to spread his wings and try life elsewhere. He moved to Arizona for work in the cell tower industry where he met some amazing friends and found many adventures. He was a gentle soul known for his kind heart, fierce loyalty, and an ability to make others laugh and smile. He spent his 28 years living life with an adventuresome attitude, finding his greatest happiness hunting deer, fishing for anything that would bite, making music, snowboarding, and spending time with his friends and family. He had a rare ability to make everyone around him feel seen and loved, encouraging them to "smile because it's contagious". He loved flowers and often shared with others that more men should receive flowers during their lives, not waiting until their funerals. He leaves behind family and friends who adored him completely.
He is survived by his mother Jennifer and Milan Wright of Panama City Beach, FL; his father Bradley and Sandy Baublitz of Breckenridge, MI; his brothers: Jacob Baublitz of Bay City, MI; Jaden Baublitz of Mt. Pleasant, MI; Zach and Christy Daugherty of Wheeler, MI; and Joshua Wright and John Oliveira of Ridgewood, NJ; his sister Brittany Sharr of Uxbridge, MA; his grandmother Sharon and Don Sutton of Maryville, TN, his nieces and nephews: Emmett Sharr, Amy Wright, Everett Ray, Eiden Ray, and Emerson Ray; and his stepsister Shree and Joel Ray of St. Johns, MI. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Phyllis Baublitz, and his grandfather Tim Jacobs.
