Janine Marie Huver

     Janine Marie "J-9" Huver, age 58, of Perrinton, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with Bethany Schantz and Hannah Jones-Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
      Janine was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 13, 1967, the daughter of Melvin LeRoy and Betty Lou (Lounsberry) Lake. She was a graduate of Laingsburg High School. She married James "Jamie" Huver on August 16, 2024, in Perrinton, MI.
     Janine will be remembered for her beautiful soul and her deep devotion to Jesus. She was a true, caregiver working as a CNA. Her favorite pastime was social media. Her family was very important to her and loved them deeply. She loved life to the fullest and made everyone feel cared for. Janine would want to share with us all "God Bless You". She was a member of South Church of the Nazarene Lansing, MI.
     Janine is survived by her husband Jamie Huver; son Michael Wooden and Tessa McMahon; step-son Derek and Jamiee Huver; step-son James and Haley Huver; daughter-in-law Mika Wooden; grandchildren: Cameron Wooden, Kaylee Parker, Jackie Wooden, Kaizen Wooden, Emma Huver, Kyler Huver, Tristan Huver, and Bryson Huver; sister Melvia and Frank Quine; brother-in-law Brian Huver; sister-in-law Dana, and Brook Daniel; sister-in-law Esther Wooden; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Benjamin Wooden, granddaughter Gabriella, brother-in-law Paul Janes, niece Chelsea Janes, her parents-in-law Ronnie and Sandra Huver, and also special friend Connie Kemmer.
