Janet Ann Wesner

     Janet Ann Wesner, age 72, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Clinton, St. Johns, MI. 

      Cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of Janet's life at a later date.

      Janet was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 8, 1951, the daughter of John Bruce and Ellen (Newman) Lord. Janet graduated from Eastern High school and obtained her associates from Lansing Community College and bachelors from Central Michigan University. 

      Janet found joy in the arts, reading, painting and drawing. She enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Janet was very determined throughout her life and when she set her mind to something she would accomplish it. Spending time with her family was most important to her.

      She is survived by her son Kenneth Wesner, daughter Sara and Matt Kurtz, grandson Drake Kurtz and sisters: Linda, Betty and MaryNell.

      She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ellen Lord and her sister Susan. 

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's honor to Reading is Fundamental.
