James Mizer

James S. Mizer age 47 of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan died Friday, September 05, 2003 at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. Dr. Keith Wise & Rev. James Adams will officiate and burial will be at Pritchard Cemetery in Elwell, Michigan. Visitation will be on Sunday 6-8 P.m. at the funeral home.
James was born in Alma, Michigan on October 6, 1955 the son of George & Dorothy (Fullerton) Mizer. He resided most of his life in the St. Louis area. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1974. On October 14, 1978 he married Joan Rhines in Alma, Michigan.
He worked in various factories in quality control. Most recently he was employed at Soaring Eagle Casino in the Security Department. He loved gardening, his family, landscaping. He enjoyed reading scripture, and loved to be around people.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Mizer of Mt. Pleasant, 3 Children, Tonya & Jake Hunt of St. Louis, Heather Mizer of Alma, Matthew Mizer of Alma, 4 Grandchildren, Kali Hunt, MaKenna Seaman, Alyiah Mizer, Caelob Adams, 7 brothers & sisters, Retha & Tom Freeman of Tennessee, Rex & Nancy Mizer of Georgia, Sharon & Larry Hagen of Ohio, Ronald & Cathy Mizer of Michigan, Tom & Karen Mizer of Michigan, Kimberly Pratt of Michigan, Sue & David Bacon of Michigan, Also Many In- Laws.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 nephews, Eric Mizer & James Hagen
