James E. "Jim" Brisson

    James E. "Jim" Brisson, age 78, of Breckenridge, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center - Midland, MI.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, with Rev. Fr. Paul Werley presiding.  Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A Vigil Service will be held on 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

    James was born in Bay City, Michigan on October 11, 1943, the son of Henry and Irma (Baker) Brisson.  He graduated from Midland High School with the class of 1963, and went on to Delta College where he obtained his degree in business administration.  Jim married Sharon Krezan on September 9, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI.

     Jim was employed with Soaring Eagle Casino for 20 years in the food and beverage department.  He was also self-employed in the manufacturing and distribution of frozen foods and ice cream; supplying to local gas stations and home deliveries.  Throughout the years he also managed many McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Burger King Restaurants.  Jim enjoyed gardening and tending to his chickens.  He also liked deer hunting and was a collector of many things.  He was a member of St. Bridgid's Catholic Church in Midland and since moving to Breckenridge, he attended Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis.

     He is survived by his wife Sharon Brisson; children: James Brisson, RoseAnn Brisson, John Brisson, and Daniel Brisson; siblings: Gerald Brisson, Henry Brisson, Denise Brisson, and Timothy Brisson; and sister-in-law Kaye Brisson.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by parents, brothers: Thomas and Dennis and his in-laws Joseph and Roseline Krezan.
