Jacob John Braman

     Jacob John "Jake" Braman, age 45, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with Jake Matthews officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Fritz Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.
     Jake was born in Carson City, Michigan on September 19, 1980, the son of Kipp Allen and Patricia Jo (Zamarron) Braman. He graduated from Ithaca High School, with the class of 1999. Jake went on to obtain his paramedic degree from LCC. He married Lacie Upright on October 6, 2001; they were married in Charlotte, MI. They just celebrated their 24 year anniversary together.
     Jake worked as a paramedic for MMR for the past 14 years. Prior to his career he had a passion for rodeo like none other. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his girls and teaching them any skill he knew would be needed for them. He had an avid passion for raising, showing, and clipping cattle with his children, and teaching them their love for softball. He will be remembered for instilling in them to always work hard and never give up.
     He is survived by wife Lacie Braman of Ithaca, MI; his daughters: Kylea Braman, Karley Braman, and Khloe Braman all of Ithaca, MI; his siblings: Joshua Braman of Lansing, MI; and Jenifer Taylor of Ashley, MI; his mother-in-law Jerri Upright of Charlotte, MI; his father-in-law Jim Upright of Charlotte, MI; and his grandmother Glenda Braman of Ashley, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Patricia and Kipp Braman, and many other close family members.
