Isabelle received her teaching degree from County Normal in Ionia, later she attended Ferris State University and Central Michigan University to further her education.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ithaca, MI.  On August 2, 1952, she married the love of her life, Edward Sinko at the United Methodist Church in Ithaca. She lost Edward on September 22, 1980.

Isabelle began her teaching career at Burns, Bailey, and Hetzman Country Schools.  She then taught third grade at Fulton Schools. Later she worked for an accountant and a financial advisor.  Isabelle was a wonderful cook, talented seamstress and loved working in her flower garden.  Isabelle would spoil her grandsons any chance she could. She always attended their school and sporting events, which brought her great joy.  Isabelle enjoyed meeting with her friends for coffee and lunch dates and always looked forward to her annual sister trips.  Isabelle knew the true meaning of family and took pride in being raised on the family farm.  Spending time with her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

Isabelle is survived by her daughter Denise and Christopher Murray of Alma, MI; daughter Sheila and Richard Droste of Ithaca, MI; grandchildren: Ian Murray, Seth and Jordan Murray, and Samuel Sinko; two great-grandchildren: Samantha Sinko and Ottora Sinko; sister Phyllis and Wayne Henney of Saginaw, MI; sister Judy Moomey-Brown of Ithaca, MI; sister-in-law Patty Reeves of Ithaca, MI; sister-in-law Millie Reeves of Ithaca, MI; sister-in-law Greta Sinko; sister-in-law Patricia Sinko; brother-in-law James Sinko; several nieces and nephews.  Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Kim Sinko on March 27, 2012, siblings: Wanita Ogden, J.B. Reeves, Janice Tracy, Colene Moore, and LaVerne Reeves.

Izzie loved to take a ride in her “Tin Lizzie” buick and go for ice cream treats.  She will be remembered for her gentle kindhearted, loving, and generous spirit.  Most of all, her beautiful smile, witty humor, and laughter that brought so much joy to our lives.  Our sweet little hat lady!
