Imogene E. Beracy of Ashley, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Carson City Hospital.  Born on March 26, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to Clyde L. and Inez (Curtiss) Kent.

Imogene was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School Class of 1938 and went on to attend Lansing Business School.  She married Joseph Beracy on July 23, 1941.  Together, she and Joe worked side by side on the family farm as they raised their four children.  Upon retirement, Joe and Imogene enjoyed travelling and wintering in Apache Junction, AZ until Joe's death in 1992.  She was very proud to have worked many fall seasons, after Joe's death, in the gift shop at Uncle John's Cider Mill. Imogene was a Life Member of Eastern Star and attended the Ashley Methodist Church.

Imogene is survived by two sons, David and wife Rita of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Rick of Ashley;  two daughters, Jill and husband Terry O'Brien of Ashley, and Dana and husband Dale Yelsik, also of Ashley.  She leaves eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren to cherish the fond memories made with Grandma 'B'.  Also surviving are sister Patricia "Patsy" MacDonald of Ithaca, sister-in-law Emma Dunavant of St. Johns, and sister-in-law Celia Hawk of Ithaca.  Imogene was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph, infant son Michael, brothers Robert Kent and Max Kent, and daughter-in-law Wanda Beracy.

Per Imogene's wishes, private services were held with arrangements by Barden Funeral Home of Ithaca.  Interment was at North Star Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made, in Imogene's memory, to Ashley United Methodist Church.
