Harley Roland Peoples, age 84, of Ashley, Michigan, formerly of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, Michigan.
In keeping with his wishes, a cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at East Plains Cemetery, Lebanon Township, Michigan.
Harley was born in Ionia, Michigan on November 15, 1940, the oldest of the ten children of Cleo Roland and Alice Marie (Pritchard) Peoples.
Harley was a shy and reserved person. He worked for Maple Rapids Lumber Co. for 25 years. Most of all, he enjoyed farming which brought out the best in him. He loved to collect calendars every year.
He is survived by his daughter Candy Peoples; his sister Mary Chapman, brothers: Jerry (Joan) Peoples, and Howard (Karen) Peoples; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Paul Peoples, Norma Coleman, Sharon Peoples, Shirley Masar, Terri Ostrander, and Arlene Patterson.
