Gregory Greenhoe

Gregory Dale "Greg" Greenhoe, age 26, of Ovid, MI, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at Ovid-Elsie High School, 8989 East Colony Road, Elsie, MI 48831, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Everett Smith officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI.

Gregory was born in Lansing, MI on June 1, 1993, the son of Dale Allen Greenhoe and Jill Ann (McKay) Herblet.

Greg graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 2012. He went on to attend Western Michigan University and received his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management in 2016.

Greg loved spending time with his family and friends and always made time for others. Greg's nieces and nephew were the light of his life. Greg had a contagious spirit and was always laughing and having fun. Even after moving to Traverse City, Ovid was still his home. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, basketball, and flying.

He is survived by his mother Jill and Tod Herblet of Ovid; father Dale (Tawnya Cox Warfle) Greenhoe of Ovid; sister Devan and Jacob Munson of Laingsburg; nieces and nephew: Jaedyn, Grayson, and Oakley Munson; grandmother Sylvia McKay of Ovid; and grandmother Joan Bunker of Perry. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends, and his dog Cali.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas W. Greenhoe, grandfathers: Dean McKay and Harold Warren.
