Gregory Lee "Greg" Gossard, 67, age of Sebring, Florida and Indian River, Michigan, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, Michigan, at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 21, 2025, with Pastor Phil Maxwell officiating. Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery, Kenton, OH at a later date. Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gregory was born in Kenton, Ohio on December 13, 1957, the son of Arthur Leland and Nancy Ann (Black) Gossard. He graduated from from Ridgemont High School, Ridgeway, OH with the Class of 1976, and attended Ohio Highpoint JVS where he started his education to become a Journeyman Electrician. Later, Greg proudly attended Southern Bible College in Houston, TX. He retired as Head of Maintenance for Tri-County Jail, Mechanicsburg, Ohio in 2017.
In his retirement, he acquired Pigeon Bay Campground where he met his wife, Annette K. Anderson. They had 7 wonderful years together. They were married on February 14, 2025, in Sebring, Florida and took their honeymoon cruise on the "Princess Love Boat".
Greg and Anne spent their time together taking cruises and weekend trips anywhere they could. Greg had a bucket list of places he wanted to see and as soon as one place was checked off, two more were added. The stories he would tell of his adventures could captivate an audience and paint a picture so vivid you'd think you were there. He loved fishing with his family. But no adventure ever compared to the time he spent fishing with his father at Lake Istopka in Sebring, Florida perfecting the precise method to catch specks.
Greg is survived by his wife Annette Gossard, daughter Laura (Corey) Sharits, grandchildren: Dakota, Alexa and Jaxon; step daughter Kelly Thompson, sister LeeAnn (Ted) Pisarchuk, brothers: Steven (Craig Kosnich) Gossard, and David (Barb) Lane; niece Karly, 3 nephews: Christopher, Steven, and Spencer; step mother Beverly Gossard, many extended family members, and special family members Troy and Julie Anderson. He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Lane and father Arthur Leland Gossard
