Glen Ray Gilbert

      Glen Ray Gilbert, age 70, of Carland, Michigan, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home.
      A cremation has taken place and burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan with Military Honors.
      Glen was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 26, 1955, the son of Robert James and Betty June (Pattengill) Gilbert. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School, with the Class of 1973. Glen joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and proudly served his country for twenty-plus years. On November 11, 2003, Glen married Helen Stacy in Eatonville, Washington. They were married 16 years prior to her death on June 19, 2020.
       Glen is survived by his daughter Jennifer Gilbert of FL; his son Michael Gilbert (Robin Brooks) of GA; his son Adam Gilbert of NC; one stepson Jason Peterson; his grandchildren: Sabastion Knox, Marissa Peterson, Jason Peterson, and Justin Peterson; his stepmother Dee Gilbert; two brothers: Frank (Betty) Gilbert, and Chris Gilbert; one sister Clarisa (William) Keuhs; two step-brothers: Bobby and Chris Newman; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, his infant son Robert Edgar Gilbert, and his baby brother Paul Gilbert.
