Gertrude Faye Fell

Gertrude “Trudy” Fell, age 85, of Ithaca, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Michigan Medical Center in Midland.

Trudy was born  in Royal Oak Michigan, on April 23, 1929, the daughter of Hurley and Mildred ( Bachert ) Bowlby.  She married John Edward Fell, Sr. on December 15, 1947.

She was a loving wife and mother who was dedicated to her family.  Her children had the privilege of taking her on many different travels over the years, giving her great joy.  She loved to sit out on her porch and socialize with the many friends and neighbors who passed by.

She is survived by her four children and two step children, all of whom deeply loved and honored her, Michael (Mickey) Fell of South Bend, Indiana, Edward Fell of Ithaca, Jay (Debra) Fell of Lenexa, Kansas, Diana (Brion) Ruehle of Alma, Mike (Marian) Fell of Palm Bay, Florida, and John (Laura) Fell, Jr. of Holt, Michigan; her grandchildren; and her great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 37 years, John.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Taylor Hinkle of the Ithaca Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.
