Genevieve Aurelia Albrecht

     Genevieve Aurelia Albrecht, age 96, of Alma, MI, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at Isabella County Medical Care Facility, Mt. Pleasant Michigan.

     Cremation has taken place, and Genevieve will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Alma, MI at a later date.

     Genevieve was born in Alpena, Michigan on April 3, 1929, the daughter of Edmond and Ada (Carpenter) Beaudoin. Genevieve attended Alpena Public Schools. She attended Thunder Bay School of Cosmetology in Alpena and became a licensed beautician in 1947. On August 9, 1952, Genevieve married Robert Dean "R.D." Albrecht in Alpena, Michigan. They were blessed with 66 years of marriage before his passing on December 29, 2018.

     Genevieve owned her own salon up until she married Robert at which time she sold her salon and became a mother and a homemaker. Genevieve enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially spoiling her two great-granddaughters (the first Albrecht girls born in 95 years). Genevieve & Robert enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spending winters in Arizona square dancing.

     She is survived by her children: Rick (Wendy) Albrecht of Farwell, MI; Robin (Lynn) Albrecht of Portage, MI; and Robert (Larriann) Albrecht of Riverdale, MI. She is also survived by 4 grandsons: Tyler (Kara), Curtis (Megan), Brandon (Chelsea), and Scott; step-grandchildren: Logan & Kate Boursaw and Megan & John Bayes; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Noah, Abigail, and Olivia; and step-great-grandson Joey. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, husband R.D., her brothers: Richard and Gerald, and her sisters: Margaret, and her twin sister Geraldine.
