Gary Lee Tinson

Gary Lee Tinson went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2016 while residing at Mason Pathways. Gary was born to Ralph Sr. and Julia Tinson on June 24, 1943 in Alma, Michigan. He served 17 1/2 years in the United States Navy as a Boiler Technician while aboard the U.S.S. Lexington. He worked as a Professional Mechanic for many years, as well as, the food service industry. His hobbies included all things mechanical, carpentry, and he enjoyed outdoor sports.  His affable manor attracted seniors, children, and animals  alike.

Gary is survived by, his loving wife of over 31 years, Doris Tinson.

Children:  Karen (David) Burkett of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Linda (Skipper) Davis of King George, Virginia, Keith Tinson of Foley, Alabama, Deidre (Bobby) Nelson of Elberta, Alabama, Julie (Joe) Turner of Clearwater, Florida, Eddie Vick of Alabama, Gene Tinson of Elberta, Alabama, Dee-Ann (Wes) Butler of Chesapeake, Virginia. Thirteen Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren.  Siblings:  Ralph (Toby) Tinson Jr., Pat Childers, Glenn Tinson. Gary is preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a Graveside Service Tuesday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ithaca Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Ithaca.
