Frederick L. Kinsey

     Frederick "Fred" L. Kinsey, age 93, of Vestaburg, MI, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Laurels of Fulton, Perrinton, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Ferris Church of Christ, Vestaburg, MI 48891, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with Pastor Keith Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place at Ferris Center Cemetery, Vestaburg, MI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.
     Frederick was born in Wayne County, MI on January 23, 1932, the son of Claude J. Kinsey and Thelma L. (Delo) Kinsey-Roy. Frederick married Mary E. Bettig on February 16, 1957, in Chicago, IL. Mary passed away at her home in 1976 in Ypsilanti, MI. Later Frederick married Florence Powell on July 23, 1977, in Ferris Township, MI. Florence passed away on March 4, 2010.
     Fred loved going to church at Ferris Church of Christ where he attended faithfully for more than 50 years. Fred enjoyed garage sales, gardening, puzzles, and playing card games. He loved genealogy, researching his family history and looked forward to family get-togethers & reunions. He also really enjoyed waterfalls. Fred served his country in the United States Air Force. He was proud to receive a new "Heroes Hat" each year from the casino.
     He is survived by his children: Katherine (Roger) Boulis, Christina (David) Emery, and Frederick (Nancy) Kinsey; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; his brothers: Claude Kinsey and Roy (Gloria) Kinsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, granddaughter Katlynn Seeley, sister Maxine (Henry) Ortell, sister-in-law Carol Kinsey (Claude's wife), and his brother-in-law Henry Ortell.
