Frank John Micallef, age 92, of Alma, MI, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at The Laurels of Carson City, Carson City, MI with his family by his side.
In following Frank's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
Frank was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1931, the son of Richard and Pauline (Chantar) Micallef. He graduated from Detroit Western High School with the class of 1950. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Frank dearly loved his family and his life revolved around them. He would do anything for his children. He enjoyed movies and antique cars. Frank had many fond memories of growing up across the street from the Tiger Stadium. He remained a Tiger Fan his entire life.
Frank began his career as a service tech for the Friden Company for 12 years. He then was a manager for Elias Bros. Big Boy in Novi for 12 years. He also owned and operated Bob's Party Store in Harrison, Malta Lanes in Vestaburg, and Hometown Video Entertainment in Shepherd.
Frank is survived by three children: Amanda (Jason) Clark of Alma, Elaina (Heath) Barton of Sumner, and James Micallef of Denver, CO; five grandchildren: Shiane Hallock, Tristin Hallock, Gage Barton, Jordan Clark, and BrayLynn Clark; one great granddaughter Everleigh Hallock, nieces and nephews: Chuck Micallef, Tony Micallef, Janine Micallef, Marie Micallef, Pam (Mark) Roberts, Paula (Bryan) Gold, and John Micallef; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Charles Micallef, John Micallef, Henry Micallef, and Joseph Micallef.
