Frances Irene "Fran" (Linscott) Burgess

     Frances Irene "Fran" Burgess, age 71, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, Lansing, MI.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Carl Hyzer officiating. Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

     Fran was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 22, 1951, the daughter of Leroy and Irene (Fisher) Linscott.  On February 18, 1982, Fran married Bruce at Eureka Christian Church.  They have been blessed with 40 years of marriage.

     Fran was a talented artist.  She enjoyed drawing, painting, knitting, and crocheting.  She liked pulling tractors.  She loved all animals and gardening.  She was a peacekeeper and always willing to help others, especially the children at the Eureka School.  Most of all, Fran loved her family and spending time with the grandchildren.

     She is survived by her husband Bruce, two sons: Ben (Jennifer) Taylor of St. Johns, MI; and Adam (Jamie) Burgess of St. Johns, MI; eight grandchildren: Ricole (David) Thomas, Morgan Taylor, Allyson Shuart, Alyssa Murphy, Allanna Murphy, Christian Jacobs, Dominick Jacobs, and Casey Jacobs; and three great-grandchildren: Karsyn, Graesyn, Everleigh. She is also survived by her siblings: Helen (Doug) Wiley, Lee Linscott, John Linscott, Tom Linscott, Katy (Ron) Aldrink, Mary Linscott, Sandy Linscott, and David Linscott; foster mom Karin and foster siblings: Elaine, Mark, and Jeff.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers:  Mike Stevens, Jim Linscott, and Mark Nelson.
