It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Matriarch, beloved Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Mother, and Wife, Florence Verona "Flo" Masarik, age 88, of St. Johns, Michigan, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, Michigan.
Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, and Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, Michigan, at a later date.
Florence was born in Edmore, Michigan on October 28, 1936, the daughter of William David and Reva Arlene (Sellers) Agler. She graduated from Eastern High School, Lansing, Michigan with the Class of 1954. On September 18, 1954, Florence married Rudolph William Masarik, III at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Johns, Michigan. They were blessed with seventy wonderful years of marriage and six children.
Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She will forever be cherished and deeply missed by her family, who were blessed with love throughout her life. Though her presence will no longer grace us, her spirit and the memories she created will remain with us always. Grandma's love will continue to unite us, and her legacy will live on in us and in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving husband Rudolph; three children: Robin Moore, Cathy (Mike) Hebeler, and James (Tereasa) Masarik; three daughters-in-law: Linda Masarik, Beverly Masarik, and Rhonda Masarik; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Reva (Lyle) Flint, father William Agler, in-laws Rudolph Jr. and Mary Masarik, and her three sons: Craig Masarik, David Masarik, and Rudolph Masarik IV; and son-in-law Frederick Moore Sr.
