Elizabeth Ann “Tibby” Mikulka

Elizabeth Ann “Tibby” Mikulka, age 86, of Ashley, died Tuesday, July 2, 2014, in Lansing.

Tibby was born January 15, 1928 in Owosso, the daughter of Herbert J. and Frances Rebecca (Oberlitner) Thompson.  She married Andrew “Andy” Mikulka on June 12, 1948 in Elsie.  Andy preceded Tibby in death in 1986.

Tibby loved crossword puzzles, word searches, reading romance novels and crocheting.  She was a motorcycle enthusiast  and loved to ride with Andy on his motorcycle as they would ride the Michigan Jack Pine.

Tibby is survived by her children, Andy (Faith) Mikulka, Richard Mikulka (Roxanne Greenhoe), Robert (Jill) Mikulka, all of Ashley, and Rebecca Helman of Riverdale; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Ethel Thompson of Marion Springs.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David Thompson; her sister, Irene Mikulka; 1 granddaughter; and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Dave Perry officiating.  Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 6.
