Elizabeth Lila "Liz" (Cooper) Mack

May 14, 1962 — October 29, 2022

St. Johns

Elizabeth Lila Mack, age 60, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home in Michigan.

Elizabeth was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 14, 1962 the daughter of Eugene and Laurietta (Mumaw) Cooper. She was a woman who did things her own way. She worked her way through life with many jobs.  She most enjoyed cooking and working customer service type jobs, being active and working with people.  Along her path she never met anybody that didn’t like her; well, maybe a couple. She was always down to having fun. She was the life of the party. If she wasn’t cooking or baking something for somebody; she was pouring them up shots for the next game.

She is survived by Larry Ray (Jane), Anthony Ray (Jena), Mary Ray, Isaiah Huntley, Tierra Sturgil and Ava Ray and leaves behind many family and friends throughout the Florida, Michigan and Ohio; (“booo” as she would have followed with) areas. She was a woman who did things her own way.

She always enjoyed her sports, watching it with her beloved animals, win or lose it was “game on” all season long!  She may have not always made the right decision, but she always stood strong to her belief. Sad is what a lot of people are feeling but that is not what she would have wanted. To everybody’s heart she touched, she would want them to know to “Cheer up! Move on! Love life! Celebrate the times I was here; don’t be sad that I am gone.”  Liz will never be forgotten.  Her presence will be felt through every Detroit/Michigan sports game played, every meal cooked or dessert baked at home, and every Alanis Morissette song we hear. Thank you for all you’ve done and for everyone you’ve touched! With forever love we’ll always remember you. GO BLUE!!

There will be no official funeral services being held as she was a woman of many areas with friends and family spread out far about. A celebration of life maybe scheduled on a later date.  Interested parties can reach out or feel free to remember her in your own personal way. This was a choice she would have made, so it is one we will respect.

Online condolences can be sent to www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, Michigan.
