Ed Ringle, age 92, of North Star, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at Rosewood AFC in Ithaca.

Ed was born in Hamilton Township, Sickles, Michigan, on October 31, 1928, the son of Ernest and Gladys (Simpson) Ringle, Sr.  He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict before meeting his mate on a blind date in Springfield, MO, while being stationed nearby at Leonardwood Army Base.  He and Clara Anna Leah (Ann) White were married on December 26, 1953 in Hardenville, MO.  They then moved to North Star in their new marriage which lasted 64 years.

Ed retired from General Motors in Lansing in 1984.  He always loved gardening and after retiring found a new hobby in woodworking, sharing his talent with many.  He loved spending time with people.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, in 2017; his grandson, Justin Wolfe; his parents; and his siblings, Russell, Ernest, Jr., Howard, Raymond, Elizabeth (Betty) Nielsen, and

Gerald (Jerry).  He is survived by his daughter, Becky (Randy) Wolfe of Crossville, TN; his grandson, Matthew (Danielle) Wolfe of North Star; his great granddaughter, Alivia Wolfe; his brother, Fred (Shirley) Ringle of Ithaca; and his siter-in-law, Isabell, of Howell.

Due to Covid, private graveside services will be held with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.  Ed’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ithaca Church of God, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to Ithaca Food with Friends.
