Douglas Lee “Doug” Angell

     Douglas Lee "Doug" Angell, age 80, of Ovid, MI, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, MI.

     A private Graveside Service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, with Rev. Fr. Anthony Brooks officiating.

     Douglas was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 1, 1941, the son of Malcolm Raymond and Rozelle Birdie (Buck) Angell. He graduated from Ovid High School with the class of 1960.  On March 2, 1962, he married Charlene Kay Carroll at the Ovid Baptist Church.

     Doug was a devoted MSU fan and a disc jockey. He loved watching movies and working in the yard.

    He is survived by his wife Charlene, son Travis (Jenny), two granddaughters: Elizabeth Rose Angell & Maddie Angell; two brothers: William Angell, and Dennis (Julie) Angell; and many nieces and nephews.  Doug was preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin Angell, and one brother Raymond Angell.
