Dorothy Ilene Wiser

     Dorothy Ilene Wiser, age 93, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Prestige Centre Assisted Living, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
     In following her wishes, a cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
     Dorothy was born in North Star, Michigan on February 6, 1931, the daughter of Oscar Stephen and Lucy M. (Hieser) Miller. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the Class of 1949, and lived most of her life in Gratiot County.
     On May 10, 1952, Dorothy married Richard F. Wiser in Ithaca, MI. They were blessed with sixty-two years of marriage prior to his death on May 20, 2014. They were members of Peace Lutheran Church in Alma.
     Dorothy enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests - no one was a stranger. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She touched many hearts and there was no one that she wasn't willing to help. Dorothy will be deeply missed; she created so many loving memories for all those touched by her life.
     The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to all of the staff at the Prestige Centre of Mt. Pleasant, who took such wonderful care of their mother.
     Dorothy is survived by three sons: Erick (Jeanne) Wiser of Alma,MI, Bradley Wiser of St. Louis, MI, and Jeff (Marie) Wiser of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren: Stephanie (Louis) LaRousse, Steven (Audra) Wiser, Matt (Gabrielle) Wiser, Megan (Calob) Giles, and Christian Wiser; eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and eight siblings: Harold, Floyd, Donald, Hazel, Velma, Lorraine, Ollie, and Bob.
