Dorothy May Mcclenathan

Dorothy May McClenathan, age 78, of Ithaca, passed away August 1, 2017.

She was bornApril 6, 1939, the daughter of Howard and Eva May (Walker) McClenathan in Sumner, Michigan.

Dorothy lived most of her life in the Sumner area. She attended school in Sumner and graduated from Alma High School in 1957. She worked at the A&W and then did babysitting.

She liked to crochet making many afghans through the years giving some to friends and family. Playing the piano brought her much happiness.

In recent years she lived in Ithaca and attended the Ithaca Church of God.

She is survived by her brother, Gerald McClenathan of Ithaca and some cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Jean, and brother Danny.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be 11am Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Pastor Tom Whitesil will officiate and burial will follow at Sumner Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.
