Dorothy Joanne Galehouse

     Dorothy Joanne Galehouse, age 90, of Elsie, MI, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024.
      Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI at a later date.
     Joanne was born in St. Louis, Michigan on March 21, 1934, the daughter of Rollin and May (Morford) Earegood. Joanne married Dirk Duane Galehouse on September 14, 1952, at the Elsie United Methodist Church. Joanne retired from the Shiawassee County Courthouse as a clerk after many years. She was talented artist and made beautiful painting she shared with family and friends. She volunteered many hours at The Dorman Gallery in Elsie. She was a member of the Elsie United Methodist Church. 
     She is survived by her nephews: Lawrence and Kathy Earegood of Rockford, MI; Leland and Nenita Earegood of Shepherd, MI; Mark and Julie Earegood of Reed City, MI; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dirk, her brother Robert (Connie) Earegood. and Delores Earegood.
