Doris (Mau) Luckhurst

Doris Louise Luckhurst, age 89, of Crystal, Michigan, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, at daughters home in St. Joe, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at at Open Door Fellowship, 121 South Williams Street,  Carson City, MI, at 11:00 A.M.  on Tuesday, November 23, 2021,  with Pastor Larry Austin and Pastor David Kingsbury officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery  Owosso, Michigan.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, 104 East Cass Street, St. Johns, Michigan.

Doris was born in Tawas, Michigan on March 18,1932, the daughter of Carl William and Viola Mae (Corey) Mau. She graduated from Ashley High School. She married Robert Jack Luckhurst. January 19, 1951, he survives her. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards especially Euchre. She also enjoyed singing, painting, swimming and pottery. Her  children and grandchildren were very important to her. She was a member of Open Door Fellowship Church Carson City, Michigan.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Luckhurst, 3 daughters, Jackie and Roger Vanderkuyl; Robin Wilbur; Melissa and Andy Bakos; 3 sons, Bill and Kristi Luckhurst; Phil and Jamie Luckhurst; Mike and Peggy Luckhurst; she is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Diane, 1 grandson, Aric, son in law, Mike Wilbur.
