Doris Ann Bailey

Doris Ann Bailey, 65, of Breckenridge, MI, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Rosewood AFC home in Ithaca, MI. Doris was born in Lansing, MI on June 18, 1953. She was the daughter of Richard and Alitza (Goshorn) Carnahan. Doris worked as a childcare provider for more than 25 years in various capacities and worked in retail. She loved sewing, knitting, painting, reading, watching movies, giving to the community, and spending time with her family. Doris was a faithful attendee of Amazing Grace Church for nearly 30 years. Doris was divorced and is survived by her three children Bryan (Amanda) Bailey, Sara (Tre) Jeter, and Rebecca (Danny) Holcomb. She has 13 surviving grandchildren; Tyler Bailey, Emilio Bailey, Sofia Bailey, Zane Bailey, Patrick Leslie, Rhyannen Bailey, Reegan Langlois, Ryland Langlois, Amanda Holcomb, Emily Holcomb, Olivia Holcomb, McKinney Holcomb, and Eliorah Holcomb. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alitza Carnahan; her brother, Richard Carnahan; her brother, John Carnahan; her sister, Christine Barsdale; and her nephew, Rob Carnahan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Doris Saturday, November 10th at 11am, at Amazing Grace Church in Wheeler, MI. A luncheon will follow. Condolences can be left for the family online at bardenfuneralhome.com.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family or in Doris’ honor to the local United Way organization or Gratiot County food or baby pantries.
